DOGS DROOL!
CODY the CAT

Cody was definitely destined to be a part of our family.  A few years before Doug & I were married, a feral cat had kittens at my parents house where I was still living at the time.  The cat moved them under my mom's car thinking they would be safe there; unfortunately that wasn't the case.  All kittens except for Cody's mom crawled inside the tire & were killed.  Fearing for the surviving kitten, I put her with a litter of kittens we were already bottle feeding since their mom had been run over & named her Milagro which is Spanish for miracle.  Milagro was such a sweet little kitten as were all the others & we had to make certain they all went to homes with loving parents.

A year later, I had moved out of my parents home & my cat Sonny couldn't get use to living in new home so I let him stay with my parents.  I had given Milagro to a lady who worked with my mom & she returned to school after Easter break with news that Milagro had kittens on Good Friday & there was one that looked just like her.  She wanted me to have the kitten & I went to get her once she was several weeks old.  I didn't leave with that kitten though but with Cody instead.  It was love at first sight & although the lady told me that I wouldn't want him since he was very timid & anti-social, he was the one.  I named him Cody on the spot after the famous cowboy legend Buffalo Bill Cody, took him home & spoiled him rotten.

He remained shy with visitors right up until Matthew was born.  Their cries were identical which was confusing at times.  Cody was always in whatever room Matthew was in & very protective of his new baby brother & still is sometimes even sleeping with him at night when we leave the room.  Ever since Matthew was born, Cody has been a lot more social with visitors.

Cody loves to watch the tank gang swimming in our aquarium as well as the birds & other flying critters from the windows but turns into guard kitty when he sees any furry 4-legged creatures near his turf.  The intruder alarm goes off which literally sounds like a siren.  When he's ready to play, watch out for attack kitty
